Holding your camera correctly

Make sure nothing is blocking the lens.

Reducing camera shake

￿￿Set the Optical Image Stabilization option to reduce camera shake optically. (p. 24)

￿￿Select the d mode to reduce camera shake both optically and digitally. (p. 29)

Half-pressing the shutter button

When is displayed

Half-press [Shutter] and adjust the focus. Focus and exposure will be adjusted automatically.

When shooting in the dark, avoid setting the flash option to Slow Sync or Off. The aperture remains open longer and it may be harder to hold the camera still.

The aperture value and shutter speed are set.
