Using the Wind Cut function, you can reduce wind noise when recording sound using the internal microphone.
Select the record mode by pressing the MODE button. page 29
The digital zoom enables higher zoom magnification than the optical zoom. Digital zoom can electronically magnify an image created by the optical lens up to 300 times.

Using the Wind Cut function also removes some low frequency sound with the wind noise.
The right side of the bar shows the digital zooming zone. The zooming zone appears when you move the zoom lever.

When you use the digital zoom, the camcorder processes the image digitally more than in the optical zoom mode. As a result, the image resolution may deteriorate.
