Printing on Preprinted Paper

Guidelines

•Letterhead must be printed with heat-resistant ink that will not melt, vaporize, or release hazardous emissions when subjected to the printer’s fusing temperature of 400°F (205°C) for 0.1 second.

•Ink on letterhead must be non-flammable and should not adversely affect any printer rollers.

•Forms and letterhead should be sealed in moisture-proof wrapping to prevent changes during storage.

•Before loading preprinted paper as forms and letterhead, verify that the ink on the paper is dry. During the fusing process, wet ink can come off preprinted paper.

1Load letterhead into the input tray with the design face up, bottom edge toward the printer.

Adjust the guide to fit the width of the paper stack.
