Troubleshooting

Recover/Backup

When a problem occurs with the computer, it is possible to easily recover the computer back to the factory default settings by using the Recovery application (Recover/Backup). It is also possible

to recover the computer to a previously backed up point. Back up important data regularly before a problem occurs with the computer.

The Recovery application may not be provided in models with less than 64 GB of memory. For models with less than 64 GB of memory, recover the computer to the factory default settings by reinstalling Windows.

Some functions may differ or may be unavailable, depending on the version. The instructions provided here are based on Recovery 6.0. Refer to the application’s help for more information.

Run the Recovery application with administrator privileges.

CD/DVD drives are not supported by the Recovery application.

Recovering the computer erases the data or applications saved after a backup point. Therefore, back up important data regularly before a problem occurs with the computer.
