3. Useful setting menus

Scan Setup

Some menus may not appear in the display depending on

options or models. If so, it is not applicable to your machine.

To change the menu options:

•Press (Scan) > Menu > Scan Setup on the control panel.

• Orpress Setup > Machine Setup > Default Setting > Scan

Default on the touch screen.

Scan Size

Original Size

Sets the image size.

Original Type Sets the original document’s type.

Resolution Sets the image resolution.

Color Mode Sets the color mode.

File Format

Sets the file format in which the image is to be

saved. If you select BMP, JPEG, TIFF, or PDF, you

can select to scan multiple pages.

Darkness Adjusts the brightness level to scan.

Contrast Adjust the contrast level to scan lighter or

darker than the original.
