Searching for a Network Automatically

If you wish to use your cellular phone abroad and have modified your network list, you must select a foreign GSM network. You can only select a GSM network cooperating with your home network (see your network operator to obtain a list). The phone can reach other networks for emergency calls only. In automatic mode, the phone selects:

Searching for a Network Manually

The manual search allows you to select your home network only.

If you wish to select a network other than your home network, see the page opposite.

◆The first network in your network list if the home network is not available (see page 60), then the other ones in turn

enter the menu system.

Result: The first menu appears.

If neither your home network nor any of those declared in the network list are available, the phone then automatically tries to register to another one coope- rating with your home network.

•Searching is displayed.

•The phone switches to Standby mode and the selected network name is displayed.
