Entering Your PIN Code
The SIM card is protected by a PIN (Personal Identification Number) that you must enter the first time you use your phone or each time it is switched on, if this option is set (see page 50).

Extending the Antenna
If the signal received is weak (crackling and back- ground noise during a telephone conversation), you can pull out the telescopic antenna.

If the signal received is sufficiently strong, you do not need to pull out the antenna.
The signal strength is indicated on the display:
Strong signal
Weak signal
If you entered the wrong PIN, Wrong PIN is displayed. Try again with a correct PIN.
