Katikukiirus on fikseeritud väärtusele 1/50 sekundit. Tumedad ribad, mis tavaliselt teleriekraani jäädvustamisel sellele ilmuvad, muutuvad kitsamaks.

Katikukiirus on fikseeritud väärtusele 1/120 sekundit. Sisespordialad, näiteks korvpall. Vähendab luminofoorvalguses või elavhõbe-kvartslampide valguses jäädvustamisel tekkivat virvendamist.

Liikuvad autod, rongid või muud kiirelt liikuvad objektid, näiteks „ameerika mägede” vagunid.

Välispordialad, näiteks golf ja tennis.

Ärge suunake päikese poole. See võib põhjustada videokaamera tõrkeid. Pildistage päikest ainult vähese valguse korral, näiteks loojangul.

• Kui valite suurema katikukiiruse, ei pruugi pilt näida sujuv.
