FAQ[Case6] Howdo I know my computer supports a USB Interface?
Checkthe USB port in your computer or keyboard.
CheckOS version. USB Interface is available in Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME .XP.
Check[Universal serial bus controller] in Device Manager. Do the following to check
[Universalserial bus controller].
Win98/ME : Trace [Start Setting Controller System DeviceManager
Universalserial bus controller]
Win2K : Trace[Start Setting Controller System HardwareDevice Manager
Universalserial bus controller].
WinXP : Trace[Start ControlPanel Performanceand Maintenance System
HardwareDevice Manager UniversalSerial Bus controller].
Theremust be USB Host Controller and USB root hub under [Universal serial bus
controller].
Whenall the conditions mentioned above are met, the computer can support the USB
interface.
[Case7] Whenusing the USB hub.
Theremay be a problem in connecting the camera to the PC through the USB hub if the
PCand the hub are not compatible. Wherever possible, connect the camera to the PC
directly.
[Case8] Areother USB cables connected to the PC?
Thecamera may malfunction when it is connected to the PC at the same time as another
USBcable. In this case, disconnect the other USB cable, and connect only one USB
cableto the camera.
