3.When connected to computer, the display changes to recovery mode no. 2. Run “Samsung PMC
[File] → [Connect to Device] → [Samsung PMC
i)Select [File] → [Update OS Image] → NK.bin in the [Recovery Utility] folder and select [Open]. Select [OK] when update is completed.
ii)Select [File] → [Update fonts] → gulim.ttc [Recovery Utility] folder and select [Open]. Select [OK] when update is completed.
iii)Select [File] → [Update fonts] → msgothic.ttc in the [Recovery Utility] folder and select [Open]. Select [OK] when update is completed.
When update is completed, close the program and disconnect the player from the computer. When the player is restarted, it is successfully recovered.
How to recover the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
¤If the display shows recovery mode no. 4 image:
The data area is damaged. While this image is displayed,
the player automatically recovers the data area and is restarted after recovery.
¤If the display shows recovery mode no. 5 image:
The player cannot be recovered by the user
and should be sent to the Samsung service center for repairs. Call
