Autorepeat Recording

The same tape can be recorded over many times.

•Follow the Before starting steps, under “NORMAL RECORDING”.

1Press the MENU button until the (SET UP 2) menu is displayed.

2Press the ] button, until the “TAPE END MODE” (or “REPEAT”) setting is flashing.

3Press the l (or j) button, to set to “R1” or “R2”. (See “Setting the Mode at the End of the Tape”)

4Press the PAUSE/SEARCH button to save the setting.

5Press the REC button.

°Recording will start. When the tape end is reached, the VCR will rewind it to the beginning, and recording will resume.

°When the end of the tape is reached, a buzzer will be heard (if in the (SETUP 3) menu, in the BUZZER section TAPE END is set to “Y”) and “OFF” will be displayed until the rewinding operation starts.

NOTES:

•If during autorepeat recording there is an alarm trigger, “AL” is displayed on the digital display and alarm recording will take place. (Please refer to page 15, “ALARM RECORDING”.)

•If the “TAPE END MODE” setting is R1 and there is an alarm trigger, the recording will continue to the end of the tape then it will be rewound to the beginning and stop. “OFF” will be displayed on the digital display. To turn off the buzzer (if in the (SETUP 3) menu, in the BUZZER section TAPE END is set to “Y”) and the “OFF” display, press the EJECT, PLAY, FF or REW button.

•If “AL” is displayed on the digital display and the “TAPE END MODE” setting is R1, autorepeat recording is not possible.

Setting the Mode at the End of the Tape

In the (SET UP 2) menu, you can set the mode of the VCR mode when the tape reaches the end during recording.
