TAPE END OUT Terminal

During recording, when the end of the tape is reached or when the tape counter reading indicates 7 hours 57 minutes or more, the output becomes 0V (Low).

To reset the output, press the STOP or EJECT button.

During autorepeat recording, when the end of the tape is reached, the output becomes 0V (Low) for about 2 seconds only.

1Press the MENU button until the (SET UP 5) menu is displayed.

2Press the l (or j) button, to select the desired output mode.

–3M . . . . . . . . The output becomes 0 V (Low) and the TAPE END indicator flashes when the tape counter reaches “7:57:00” and/or when the tape reaches the end.

END . . . . . . . . The output becomes 0 V (Low) and the TAPE END indicator flashes when the tape reaches the end.

4Press the PAUSE/SEARCH button to save the setting.

COM Terminal

Common GND (ground) terminal when connecting other terminals to external devices.

WARNING OUT Terminal

If the tape stops or other problem, the output becomes 0V (Low).

To reset the output, press the STOP or ALL RESET button or unplug the power cord then plug it back in.

NOTE:

If in the (SET UP 4) menu “VIDEO LOSS” is set to “N”, the “WARN. OUT” setting will be preset to “TRANSPORT” and cannot be changed.

2Press the ] button, until the “WARN. OUT” setting is flashing.

3Press the l (or j) button, to select the desired output mode.

TRANSPORT . The output becomes 0V (Low) when the tape stops or other probrem with the internal mechanism.

V. LOSS . . . . . The output becomes 0V (Low) when there is no video signal (Please refer to page 13, “Action to Take when the Video Signal Deteriorates.”).

T OR V . . . . . . The output become 0V (Low) when the tape stops or other problem with the internal mechanism, or when there is no video signal (Please refer to page 13, “Action to Take when the Video Signal Deteriorates.”).
