6.Fuse Holders (Figure 4-1). Two 20-amp fuses protect the mower’s electrical system. To replace fuses, pull fuse out of the socket and install a new fuse.

7.Left Steering Control (Figure 4-1). Used to control the mower's left wheel when traveling forward or reverse.

8.Right Steering Control (Figure 4-1). Used to control the mower's right wheel when traveling forward or reverse.

9.Parking Brake Control (Figure 4-1). Used to engage and disengage the parking brakes. Pull the lever back to engage the parking brakes. Push the lever forward to disengage the parking brakes.

10.Fuel Switching Valve (Figure 4-1). Located on the left side of the machine. Used to shut off fuel supply to the engine and change fuel supply between the fuel tanks. Rotate the valve counter clockwise to supply fuel from the tank on the left side only. Rotate the valve clockwise to supply fuel from the tank on the right side only.

11.Dump Valve Control Levers (Figure 4-2). Located on the hydraulic pumps, used to “free-wheel” the mower. Rotating the levers clockwise until they stop allows the unit to move under hydraulic power. The levers must be in this position and torqued to 10ft/lbs during operation of the mower. Rotating the levers counter-clockwise allows the mower to be moved by hand (free-wheeling).

14.Deck Release Lever (Figure 4-1). Used to lock the cutter deck in the transport position. Push the foot pedal forward and pull back on the release lever to release the cutter deck for normal mowing.

15.Seat Belt (Figure 4-1).Used to secure the operator. Seat belt must be worn at all times when the ROPS is in the upright and locked position.

16.Seat Hold Down Release Latch (Figure 4-1). Located behind the seat. Used to secure the seat in the operator's position. Release the latch to gain access under the seat.

4.2 SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM

The mower is equipped with a safety interlock system that prevents the engine from starting unless the deck drive is disengaged, the parking brake is engaged, the steering control levers are in the neutral position and the operator is in the seat. The interlock system shuts off the engine if the operator leaves the seat with the steering control levers not in the neutral position and/or the cutter blades engaged and the parking brake not engaged.

WARNING

Never operate the mower with the interlock system disconnected or malfunctioning. Do not disengage or bypass any switch; injury to yourself and others or property damage could result.

12.Deck Lift Foot Lever (Figure 4-1). Used to raise and lower the cutter deck. Push full forward to lock in the transport position.

13.Cutting Height Adjustment (Figure 4-1). Used to set the cutter deck at the desired cutting height.

4.3 INITIAL RUN-IN PROCEDURES

First Day of Use or Approximately 20 Hours

1.Check all belts for proper alignment and wear at 2, 4 and 8 hours.

2.Change the engine oil and oil filter after the first 20 hours of operation. (See Section 7.4.)

3.Check hydraulic oil level in reservoir. (See Section 7.3.)

4.Check for loose hardware. Tighten as needed.

5.Check interlock system for proper operation. (See Section 4.2.)

6.Check tire pressure. Adjust pressure if necessary. (See Section 7.10.)

STC61V-25CV-FR, STC48V-26BS, STC48V26BS, STC61V-25CV, STC61V-23BV specifications

Scag Power Equipment has established itself as a leader in the outdoor power equipment industry, and its line of mowers, particularly the STC series, exemplifies premium engineering and cutting-edge technology. Among the standout models are the STC52V-23BV, STC52V-25CV-FR, STC52V-25CV, STC61V-23BV, and STC61V-25CV. Each model is designed to meet the diverse demands of commercial and residential landscaping, providing efficiency, performance, and durability.

The STC52V-23BV and the STC52V-25CV-FR are both equipped with powerful V-twin engines that deliver dependable performance under tough conditions. These engines are designed to provide high torque, enabling users to tackle tougher mowing tasks without sacrificing speed or efficiency. With a cutting deck width of 52 inches, the STC52V models offer excellent maneuverability while providing ample coverage for large lawns.

On the other hand, the STC61V-23BV and STC61V-25CV models feature an impressive 61-inch cutting deck, making them ideal for larger properties. The wider deck allows for more efficient mowing with fewer passes, ultimately saving time and reducing operator fatigue. Both models also boast V-twin engines, ensuring robust performance that can handle dense grass and uneven terrain with ease.

One of the significant characteristics of the STC series is Scag's innovative Velocity Plus cutting deck technology. This unique design enhances airflow beneath the deck, resulting in superior grass cutting and improved discharge. The deck's aerodynamic shape not only ensures a clean cut but also allows for better grass collection in conjunction with optional bagging systems.

Additionally, all STC models are built with operator comfort in mind. Ergonomically designed controls, spacious seating, and intuitive instrument panels enable operators to work efficiently without discomfort during extended periods. These mowers also come standard with heavy-duty frames and high-quality components that offer durability and long-lasting performance, even in the most demanding conditions.

Another noteworthy feature across the STC lineup is the ease of maintenance. Scag Power Equipment has designed these mowers with accessible components, making it easier for users to perform routine maintenance tasks. This focus on practicality ensures that owners can keep their equipment in optimum condition with minimal effort.

In conclusion, the Scag Power Equipment STC52V-23BV, STC52V-25CV-FR, STC52V-25CV, STC61V-23BV, and STC61V-25CV represent the pinnacle of performance, comfort, and durability in the commercial mower sector. With powerful engines, advanced cutting technology, and a focus on user experience, these mowers continue to set the standard for excellence in outdoor power equipment.
