How to disable punch through volume control
Turn on your TV, AV Receiver, DVD player, and speakers. We will step through how to do this for DVD mode.
1.On the EVOLUTION 50/55, press and hold the DVD button for 3 seconds. The DVD button will light up, blink once, and stay lit. This indicates the EVOLUTION 50/55 is in setup mode.

3. | Press and hold the | DVD button down until it blinks 3 times. Release the DVD button. | ||
4. | Aim the remote at your AV receiver and press the | – VOL + button. If the volume control | ||
| indicator on your AV receiver does NOT respond, then you’ve successfully disabled punch through | |||
| volume control from DVD mode. Likewise, the |
| buttons will be disabled in DVD mode. | |

Note: After successfully following these instructions, there will be no volume control when the EVOLUTION 50/55 is in DVD mode.
To restore volume control at the TV from DVD mode, see the previous section. Just make sure to substitute your TV in place of the AV receiver as you follow the instructions.
