GETTING STARTED: BASIC TV SETUP

This User Guide shows you how to set the EVOLUTION 50/55 Simple Advanced Remote Control to operate your TV. First, in the Component Codes List at the back of this manual, find your TV’s 3-digit code. Note, some manufacturers have several codes and it may be necessary to try more than one.

If you can’t find the code number, you can cycle through the codes as described on page 5 in Search: Setting Up The Evolution 50/55 to Control Your TV When You Don’t Have A Code Number.

USING PRESETS: SETTING UP THE EVOLUTION 50/55 TO CONTROL YOUR TV WHEN YOU HAVE A CODE NUMBER (PREFERRED METHOD)

For this example, assume your TV’s code number is “209.”

1.Turn on your TV. Aim the EVOLUTION 50/55 towards your TV.

2.Press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The button will light up, blink once, and stay lit. This indicates the EVOLUTION 50/55 is in setup mode.

3.Using the numeric keypad, enter 209. As you press each key, the button will blink once to acknowledge your input.
