Preparation

-Using with the Alkaline Battery/Inserting a MiniDisc-

Using with the Alkaline Battery

Use one commercially available alkaline battery (LR6, AA

size).

When using the alkaline battery, be sure to insert the

rechargeable battery also.

Caution:

Do not put a rechargeable battery (nickel-cadmium bat-

tery, etc.) in the battery case.

Inserting a MiniDisc

Notes:

zDo not place the MiniDisc under the holder.

zIf any resistance is felt, do not force the MiniDisc into

the unit, as it may cause damage to the unit. If resist-

ance is felt, remove the MiniDisc and reload it.

zThe lid cannot be opened if "TOC" is displayed; refer

to the instruction on page 21.

1Open the battery case cover.

2Insert an alkaline battery into the battery

case.

3Attach the battery case to the unit.

1Slide the OPEN lever to release the com-

partment door.

2Insert a MiniDisc as shown.

3Close the compartment door.
