To erase a character

1Set the unit to character input mode. Disc name : page 40, steps 1 - 3 Group name : page 41, steps 1 - 4 Track name : page 41, steps 1 - 3

2Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- button to move the cursor to the character you want to erase, and then press the REC button.

3Hold down the M button for 1 second or more.

To add characters

1Set the unit to character input mode. Disc name : page 40, steps 1 - 3 Group name : page 41, steps 1 - 4 Track name : page 41, steps 1 - 3

2Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- button to move the cursor to the character on the right of the position where you want to add a character, and enter a char- acter.

3Hold down the M button for 1 second or more.

To enter a space

Press the VOLUME+ button to move the cursor to the right.

Notes:

zOne disc name and up to 99 group names and 255 track names can be created per disc. (A maximum of 40 characters for each disc, group and track name, and a total of 1,700 characters can be entered per disc.)

zYou cannot use "/" in a name successively.

zThe MD that has been group recorded with this unit should not be named using other equipment. The disc may not be played properly.

zIf the number of characters entered as a disc, group or track name exceeds 40, "N-FULL" will be displayed.

zWhen a disc, group, or track name that contains 40 characters is changed, "NAME CUT" will be displayed, In this case, delete all the characters and reenter the names.

zIf you enter "LP:" at the beginning of a name, "LP:" may not be displayed.
