Basic Operation

Notes:
zChanging the volume level whilst recording does not
affect the recording.
zYou cannot adjust the bass level whilst recording.
zAfter the group recording is performed, non-group
tracks will be moved behind the groups and track num-
bers will be changed.
1Plug the remote control into the REMOTE
socket on the unit.
2Hold down the REC button for 2 seconds or
more.
You can perform the same operation by simply press-
ing the REC button on the main unit.
3To perform group record-
ing, hold down the
GROUP button for 1 sec-
ond or more so that
"GROUP" is lit.
zThe unit is ready to record a new group. (To select
a group, refer to page 21.)
zWhen group recording is not performed, hold down
the GROUP button for 1 second or more so that
"GROUP" goes out.
zSetting for the group recording will not be changed
until a new setting is entered.
4Begin playback on the stereo system con-
nected to this portable MD.
5Move the M button toward or to adjust
the recording level (page 20).
You can perform the same operation by holding down
the or button on the main unit.
6Press the PAUSE button on the stereo sys-
tem to enter the playback pause mode.
Here you can search for the track to record.
7Press the MODE button repeatedly to select
the recording mode (page 30).
You can perform the same operation by pressing the
MODE button on the main unit.
8Move the M button toward .
You can perform the same operation by pressing the
button on the main unit.
9Begin playback on the stereo system, the
output will be recorded.
