Turning the Projector On/Off

Turning the Projector On

Note that the connections to external

equipment and power outlet should be

done before performing the operations

written below. (See pages 21 to 25.)

Open the lens shutt er fully and press

STANDBY/ON on the projector or ON

on the remote control.

The power indicator illuminate s green.
After the lamp indicator illu minates, the projector
is ready to start operation.
About the Lamp Indi cator
The lamp indicator illumina tes to indicate the
status of the lamp.
Green: The lamp is on.
Blinking in green: The lamp is warming up.
Red: The lamp i s shut down
abnormally or the l amp should be
replaced.
When switching on the projector, a slight
fl ickering of the image may be experienced
within the fi rst minute after the lamp has been
illuminated. This is normal o peration as the
lamp's control circuitry is stabilis ing the lamp
output characteristics. It sh ould not be
regarded as faulty operati on.
If the projector is put into standby mod e and
immediately turned on again, the lamp may
take some time to start projecti on.
When System Lock is set, the keycode inp ut
box appears. To cancel the keycode settin g,
input the keycode that you have already se t.

confi rmation message i s displayed, to

put the projector into s tandby mode.

The projector cannot be turned o n while cooling.

When “Auto Restart” i s set to “On”:
If the power cord is unplugged from the o utlet
or the breaker switch is turned of f when the
projector is on, then the projector
automatically turns on when the powe r cord
is plugged into the AC outlet or the brea ker
switch is turned on. (See page 45.)
English is the factory default l anguage. If you
want to change the on-screen displa y to
another language, change the la nguage
according to the procedure on page 44.
