6.1Essential details

The OpenScape Alarm Response Professional uses a configuration file (INI file) to parameter- ize the import of the data.

Here, the configuration files of the predecessor version “KONVERnn.EXE“ can be imported, but may require some follow-up editing work.

The INI file corresponds to the syntax of Windows INI files.

You can optionally also edit the INI file by hand using the Text Editor (Chapter 7, „Description of INI files“). To do so, however, we recommend you are already well familiar with the intricacies of the Text Editor.

Carry out the following steps to edit an INI file with the help of the INI Editor:

In the pull-down menu “Options“ click on the entry “Select INI file...“, or click directly on

 

the symbol:

 

 

2.

The window “INI Editor <file name >“ will pop up.

 

 

3.

Enter all relevant data in keeping with the ensuing field descriptions.

 

 

4.

Click on OK to save your data.
