Press the joystick, e.g., to call up the menu.

The steps needed to reach a function are shown in a condensed form in this user guide, e.g. to call up messages and from there call up SMS:

D Use the joystick to select the menu item "Messages" and confirm by clicking on the joystick.

C A further click on the joystick selects "New SMS".
