•Setting the brightness to the lowest setting enables a Dark Mode that extinguishes all illumination except for 5 seconds after any button is pressed. This is useful when using the Sleep Mode (see page 98).
Note: You can increase and reduce the screen brightness without entering the Menu system by pressing and holding the Category < and > buttons (see pages 45 – 46).
Automatic: This lets you control the SP5’s auto dimmer feature. The auto dimmer will automatically dim the SP5’s display in
1.When the Auto Brightness screen appears (see Figure 64), use the Knob to highlight either the “L” or “H” indicator.

2.Use the Category < > buttons to adjust the value of the highlighted indicator.
3.Use the Knob to highlight the other indicator and use the Category < > buttons to set its value.
4.Press the Select button to save the settings and return to the Brightness screen.
•Pressing the Menu button will cancel your settings and return to the Brightness screen.
