FM Transmitter

The FM Transmitter menu option allows you to enable or disable the SP5’s built-in FM transmitter, and select up to 5 different FM transmitter frequencies.

FM Presets

1.Select the FM Transmitter menu option. The FM Transmitter screen will appear. See Figure 61, left.

2.Highlight FM and press the Select button to select ON or OFF. (Selecting OFF turns the SP5’s FM transmitter OFF.)

3.Highlight and select Set FM Presets. The Set FM Presets screen will appear (see Figure 61, center).

4.FM1 is factory-set to 88.1MHz. This may not be the best frequency for your area. To change it, highlight and select FM1. The Set FM Preset 1 screen will appear (see Figure 61, right).

5.Highlight an FM frequency that’s not being used by a broadcaster in your area, then press the Select button to select it. The Set FM Presets screen will return.

6.Repeat Steps 4 and 5 to set FM transmitter frequency presets FM2 – FM5.

Note: To switch the FM transmitter preset frequency while listening to your SP5, press the FM Presets/Menu button on the SP5 front panel, or press the FM Presets button on the remote.
