Cable Box

For best results, use this connection if you:

Have a cable or an antenna.

Do not have a cable box or VCR. (If you have a cable box, see below. If you have a VCR, see pages 25 and 26.)

75-ohm Coaxial cable

Do not use an indoor antenna, which is especially susceptible to radio noise.

For best results, use this connection if:

Your cable company scrambles all channels, which requires you to use a cable box.

You do not have a VCR. (If you have a VCR, see pages 25 and 26.)

To connect the cable box

1 Connect the CATV cable to the cable box’s input jack.

2 Use a coaxial cable to connect the cable box’s output jack to the TV’s CABLE input.

3 Turn on the cable box first, then run Auto Program as described in “Setting Up the Channel List” on pages 23.

Set up the TV remote control to operate the cable

Activate the remote control to operate the cable

Press SAT/CABLE (FUNCTION) once, and the SAT/CABLE

box

indicator lights up.

 

 

Prevent the accidental switching of TV channels

When using the cable box, ensure that the TV remains tuned to the

 

 

channel that the cable box is set to (usually channel 3 or 4).
