Returning to the Default Settings

Returning the system parameters, such as preset stations, to the default settings

"/1

1 Turn off the power.2 Press and hold "/1 on the control unit about 5 seconds.

“MEMORY CLR” and “PUSH POWER” appear alternately in the front panel display about 10 seconds.

3 Press "/1.

“CLEARING” appears in the front panel display and the default settings are returned. After “CLEARED!” appears, the system is turned off.

Note

In step 3, if you do not press "/1 or press any buttons other than "/1 on the control unit, the system turns on. The setting is not made.

When you turn on the system after returning to the default settings, wait about 20 seconds before turning on the power by pressing "/1.

Returning the [SETUP] settings to the default

1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until “DVD” appears in the front panel display.

2 PressDISPLAY when the system is in stop mode.

The Control Menu display appears on the TV screen.

3 Press X/x to select [SETUP], then press .

The options for [SETUP] appear.

4 Press X/x to select [CUSTOM], then press .

The Setup Display appears.

5 Press X/x to select [SYSTEM SETUP], then press .

The options for [SYSTEM SETUP] appear.

6 Press X/x to select [RESET], then press .7 Press C/c to select [YES].

You can also quit the process and return to the Control Menu display by selecting [NO] here.

8 Press .

Do not press [/1 while resetting the system as it takes a few seconds to complete.

Note

When you turn the system on after resetting and no disc is in the control unit, the guide message appears on the TV screen. To perform the Quick Setup

(page 34), press , to return to normal screen, press

CLEAR.

The [MODE (MUSIC, IMAGE)], [INTERVAL] and [EFFECT] settings are also return to the default settings.
