Image size

You can choose image size (number of pixels) and image quality (compression ratio) based on the kind of images you want to shoot. The larger you make the image size and the higher you make the image quality, the better your image, but also the larger the amount of data needed to preserve your image. This means you can save fewer images in your “Memory Stick Duo.” Choose an image size and quality appropriately for the kind of images you want to shoot.

When images recorded using earlier Sony models are played back on this camera, the display may differ from the actual image size.

When the images are viewed on the LCD screen of the camera, they all look the same size.

Number of shooting images can differ from these values according to shooting conditions.

When the number of remaining shooting images is greater than 9999, the “>9999” indicator appears on the LCD screen.

You can resize the images later (Resize function, see page 67).
