Your camera has an automatic exposure (AE) function that automatically decides what the best exposure is. Complete photometry uses light meter data for the entire picture to calculate and determine exposure value. Use the spot light- metering mode to take a picture with the appropriate exposure for just the point you want to focus on.

1 Set the MODE selector to MOVIE or STILL.
2 Press v of the control button.
The menu bar appears on the LCD screen.
3 Select “SELF TIMER” with the control button, then press it.
4 Press the shutter button halfway down.
The AE lock indicator (z) appears on the screen.
5 Press the shutter button fully. The recording lamp and the self- timer indicator ( ) flashes, then the shutter is released in about 10 seconds and the image is recorded.
