Adjusting the front and rear volume

1Press (SOURCE) to select a source (radio, CD, MD, MS, or AUX).

2Press (SOUND).

3Press <or ,repeatedly to select “Fader.”

4Press (ENTER).

5Press <or ,repeatedly to adjust the volume of front/rear speakers.

6Press (ENTER).

The display returns to the normal display.

Adjusting the cut-off frequency for the front/rear speakers

To match the characteristics of the installed speaker system, you can select the cut-off frequency of the speakers.

1During playback or radio reception, press (MENU).

2Press <or ,repeatedly to select “SoundTuning.”

3Press (ENTER).

4Press M or mrepeatedly to select “HPF.”

5Press (ENTER).

6Press M or mrepeatedly to select the cut-off frequency.

Each time you press Mor m, the frequency changes as follows:

OFF (default setting) y78 Hz y125 Hz

7Press (MENU).

After the frequency setting is complete, the display returns to the normal display.

Adjusting the volume of the subwoofer(s)

1Press (SOURCE) to select a source (radio, CD, MD, MS, or AUX).

2Press (SOUND).

3Press <or ,repeatedly to select “SubWoofer.”

4Press (ENTER).

5Press <or ,repeatedly to adjust the volume.

6Press (ENTER).

The display returns to the normal display.

Tip

The volume level is adjustable from –10 dB to +10 dB. (Below –10 dB, “– dB” is displayed.)
