To deactivate auxiliary equipment in the music source display

1Press (OFF).

CD/MS/MD playback or radio reception stops (the key illumination and display remain on).

2Press (MENU).

3Press <or ,repeatedly to select “Setup.”

4Press (ENTER).

5Press M or mrepeatedly to select “AUX Skip.”

6Press (ENTER).

7Press m to select “ON.”

8Press (MENU).

To restore the indication, select “AUX Skip OFF.”

Setting the security code

This unit has a security function to discourage theft. Input a four-digit number as your security code.

If you set it, you need to input the stored code to turn on the unit should you re-install the unit in another car or after changing the battery.

1Press (MENU).

2Press <or ,repeatedly to select “Setup.”

3Press (ENTER).

4Press M or mrepeatedly to select “Security.”

5Press (ENTER).

Code Set display is displayed.

1Press Mor mrepeatedly to enter the first digit (0-9).

2Press ,to move the cursor to the 2nd digit, then press Mor m repeatedly to enter the 2nd digit. Each time you press M, a digit goes up and each time you press m, a digit falls.

3Repeat step 2to enter the 3rd digit and the 4th digit.

6Press (ENTER).

Check Code display appears.

7Press M or mrepeatedly to select “YES.”

8Press (ENTER).

The display returns to the normal display.

Notes

•The security code cannot be entered by the number buttons (1-6).

•Make sure not to forget your security code.

•If you select “NO” in step 7 and press (ENTER), the display returns to the Code Set display in step 5.
