Changing the display mode
Press DISPLAY repeatedly while the system is turned off.
You can select the following display mode.
Demonstration
The display changes and the indicators flash even when the system is turned off.
No display (Power Saving Mode)*
The display is turned off to conserve power. The timer and clock continue to operate.
Clock
The clock is displayed. The clock display automatically turns to Power Save Mode after a few seconds.
*You cannot perform the following operations during Power Saving Mode:
–Setting the clock (page 19).
–Changing the AM tuning interval (page 23).
–Turning on the system by pressing the function buttons (CD, TUNER/BAND, TAPE, AUDIO, VIDEO or USB ).
Using the Meter Display
You can easily view the information through the meter display such as the music source level.
To select a preset display pattern
Press METER MODE repeatedly to select the preset display pattern you want.
Front panel display, meter display and power illuminator will change according to the preset pattern you have selected.
Viewing information in the display
Checking the elapsed playing time, remaining time and titles
Press DISPLAY repeatedly during playback.
The following information appears in the display.
When playing an AUDIO CD:
1Elapsed playing time of the current track
2Remaining time of the current track
3Remaining time of the current disc1)
4Clock display (for few seconds)
5Effect name (for few seconds)
When playing audio files:
1Elapsed playing time of the current file
2Track name2) from the file information
3Artist name3) from the file information
4Album name4) from the file information
5Clock display (for few seconds)
6Effect name (for few seconds)
1)Appears only when “1 DISC” or “” play mode is selected.
2)File name is displayed when there is no track name information from the file.
3)“NO ARTIST” is displayed when there is no artist name information from the file.
4)Folder name is displayed when there is no album name information from the file.
