Spd Priority Cont.
The camera continues to shoot as long as the shutter button is pressed. You can
continuously shoot at a rate faster than that of [Cont. Shooting] (at a maximum of about
10 images per second).

Or, MENU t [Camera] t [Drive Mode] t [Spd Priority Cont.].
When using the touch shutter, the camera records images continuously as long as you are
touching the screen (NEX-5R only).
• You ca nnot use [Spd Priority Cont.] with the following fun ctions.
– [Scene Selection], excluding [Sp orts Action]
– [Sweep Panorama]
– [Smile Shutter]
– [Auto HDR]
– [Soft Focus], [HDR Painting], [Rich-t one Mono.], [Miniature] in [Picture Effect]
– [Self-portrait Self-timer] is set to [On ] and the camera is ready to take a self-portrait (NEX-5R only)
• The speed of continuous shooting is estimated using o ur criteria. The speed of continuous shooting may
be slower, depending on shooting conditions (Image size, ISO sett ing, High ISO NR, or the setting of
[Lens Comp.: Distortion]).
• Bet ween continuous shooting frames, an image of each fra me is immediately displayed.

Speed Priority Continuous Shooting

Set [Autofocus Mode] to [Continuous AF] (page83).
Set [AEL w/ shutter] to [Off] (page129).
• If the Phase Detection AF does not work, the camera does not continue to adjust the focus
even if you set [Autofocus Mode] to [Continuous AF].
• The exposure for the first image is set when you press the shutter button halfway down.
The camera continues to adjust the exposure for the remaining images.
