What is the NT (Non-Tracking) format?

The NT format is the digital audio tape format which employs stamp-size cassette tapes and is intended as one of the next generation tape recorders. The major benefits of this NT format are:

Pocketable size

Digital Hi-Fi stereo sound

Long battery life with one LR6 (size AA) battery

Easy operation

Stamp-size cassette tapes

The size of the NT cassette made possible a tape recorder small enough to keep in your pocket. Storing cassette tapes is no longer a problem either. Furthermore, you can obtain digital quality recording and playback of up to 2 hours with NTC-120 cassette.

Preparing an NT cassette tape

You can record on and play both sides of the NT cassette tape. The supplied NT cassette tape (NTC-60) offers you 60 minutes of recording and playing (30 minutes on each side).
