Button	Operates	Description

GUIDE	DSS	Brings up the Master Guide. If you’re already in
		a program guide, pressing GUIDE repeatedly
		brings up future time slots in the guide.

TV/VIDEO

TV/DSS

TV	Switches the input of the TV.

DSS	Switches the output of the DSS receiver to TV
	(normal TV programs), if you’ve connected a
	TV cable or antenna, or to DSS programs.

JUMP

DSS	Tunes to the last station you were tuned to.
TV
Cable

0 to 9	DSS	Specifies the station number. DSS: In menus,
0 to 9	TV	selects the menu item with the corresponding
	Cable	number. Also, in some screens, used to enter
		numerical values (such as a spending limit or
		passcode).

DISPLAY

DSS	Brings up (or removes) the Program Banner
TV	(DSS) or other display (TV).

ENTER

DSS	Used with 0-9 buttons to change stations
TV	without any delay in tuning.
Cable box

VOL

TV	Raises and lowers the volume.

MENU	DSS	Brings up the Main Menu (Sony-brand TVs
	TV	only.)

	DSS	When moved forward, back, left, right, and
	TV	diagonally, highlights items in the on-screen
		displays (program guides, menus, etc.). When
		pressed, selects highlighted items. When
		pressed during normal DSS-viewing, brings up
		the Station Index (unless a message appears).

EXIT

DSS	Clears all on-screen displays, including
TV	program guides, menus, etc. If you press EXIT
	before you complete your selections, the
	previous selections are restored.

CH

PAGE

DSS	Moves to the next (+) or previous (-) station
TV	during normal viewing. In DSS program guides
	and some setup screens, these buttons page
	through the on-screen displays.
