Advanced remote operations
When using a Sony receiver as an amplifier in the 2nd (or 3rd) room, the following operations are possible:
•Switching the output source for the 2ND (or 3RD) ROOM OUT jacks.
•Switching the Sony receiver’s power on or off in the 2nd (or 3rd) room.
•Adjusting the volume of the Sony receiver in the 2nd (or 3rd) room.
Notes
•This receiver has only 2 command modes (AV SYSTEM 1 and AV SYSTEM 2). Therefore this receiver shound only be used as an amplifier for one additional soom (2nd or 3rd room). The first command mode will be used for the main room, the second can be used for either the 2nd or 3rd room.
•When using this remote in the 2nd (3rd) room, be sure to set each receiver (main room and 2nd (3rd) room) to a different command mode. The reason for this is that if the command modes of the two receivers are the same, the volume of the receiver in the main room will increase when you raise the volume in the 2nd (3rd) room.
