Adjustments Using the SET UP Button
The SET UP button allows you to make following adjustments.
Adjusting the brightness of the display
1Press SET UP repeatedly until “DSPL SET UP” appears in the display.

You can select any of four brightness levels.
Increasing the output level of the rear
speakers by 5 dB
1Press SET UP repeatedly until “REAR GAIN” appears in the display.
2 Press the cursor buttons ( / ) to select “GAIN UP.”
To restore the normal output level
Repeat the procedure above, selecting “GAIN NORM” in Step 2.

Displaying the operating status of the component connected to the
A1 jack

Notes
•This setting is effective only when the receiver is set to TAPE/ MD, VIDEO 2, or CD (see page 20). For VIDEO 2, the CD changer command mode must be “CD 2” and the CD changer must be connected to the VIDEO 2 jacks on the receiver. For CD, the CD changer command mode must be “CD 1” and the CD changer must be connected to the CD jacks on the receiver.
•If the disc or track memo contains a character that the receiver cannot display, “.” appears for that character.
•When the Mega Control function of the CD player is active, the operating status of the main player is displayed.
