9. AUXILIARY SENDS
These controls route the input channel signal to any one or
more Auxiliary bu sses. These are separate from the main
outputs an d can therefore provide add itional outputs for
foldback , echo un its or ext ra lou dsp e aker ‘fills’.
AUX 1 & 2 are d er iv ed befo re th e ch an n e l fad er(P RE FA DE),
and are th erefore unaffected by the fad er position. This
makes them pa rticularly s uitable for fold back or m onitor
feeds, which need to be controlled separately from the main
P.A. mix.
AUX 3, 4 and 5 are derived after the channel fader(POST
FADE), and th erefore follow any changes in fader level. They
are norma lly used to dr ive effects processing u n its wh ich are
fed back into the mixer and which mu st fade out with the
inpu t chan nel.
AUX 2 may be altered internally to be POST FADE. Refer to
the Selectable Options section (Page 28) for a description of
this modification.
All of the Aux Sends are mu ted when the ON s wi tch(12) is
released.
