5.Setting up

■First, remove the blue semi-transparent tape from all parts.

■Before loading the first paper roll, be sure to remove the cardboard and the protective paper (under the tear bar) that were inserted to protect the print head during shipping.

5-1. Loading the Paper Roll

The procedure for loading a paper roll is as follows. The illustrations show the TSP412Z printer. However, the loading procedure for the TSP442Z is the same.

1 Switch off the printer’s power.

2 Open the printer cover.

	across. If the paper end is secured to
	the roll by a label or by tape, unroll
	the paper one turn and cut away all
