8-4MEASURING INSULATION RESISTANCE
Usea"Dr.	Robin''	generatortester in megger
testermode or use ameggertester to checkthe
insulationresistance.Connectameggertester				to
one of receptacleoutputterminalsand the ground
terminal,thenmeasuretheinsulationresistance.
An insulationresistance of 1 megohmormore is
normal.(Theoriginalinsulationresistanceatthe
time of shipmentfromthefactory is 10 megohm
or more.)
If it is	lessthan	1 megohm,disassemblethe
-generator and measure the insulation resistance of
the stator, rotor and control panel individually.				~~~
