DVR CONFIGURATION OPTIONS

SYSTEM OPTIONS - The system information, network information and other options are displayed when this option is clicked.

System Information

Server Name:

This is the name of your DVR. It will displayed in the title of the web browser

 

and can be used to distinguish your DVR from another.

MAC Address:

The MAC address is the physical address of the network card that is installed

 

in the DVR. This is a unique number and is used to identify the network

 

connection on the Internet.

Lanugage:

To adjust the web browser language settings choose one of the 5 languages

 

available under the server information tab.

Time Zone:

This is set up using the DVR Menu. The field is not adjustable using the web

 

interface. It should display the time zone that the DVR is located in.

NTP Server:

This is the Network Time Protocol server IP address. By default this is

 

198.123.30.132. A different NTP server IP address can be used if desired.

Interval:

The DVR will check and update the system time according to the NTP server.

Apply:

Saves all your System Information settings.

User Management

Lists all the user accounts that have been added to the DVR and allows you to add more accounts onto the DVR.

Anonymous User Login : Determines whether or not the DVR will prompt the user to enter a username/password when connecting to the DVR over the Internet.

To add a user:

Input the username, the password, confirm the password and select which user group they will be a part of. The information will be displayed in a list below showing the following:

Username: Displays the user log on name.

User Group: Shows the user permissions on the DVR.

Modify: Can be used to change the password of the desired username.

Remote: Will remove the user account from the DVR web access.

These usernames and passwords are not the same as what is used to access the DVR locally. See Password Setup for information regarding local system passwords.

System Update

Firmware Version:

Displays the current version of firmware loaded onto the DVR.

New Firmware (Browse):

Browse to the location the firmware update is stored.

Upgrade:

Apply the new firmware version.
