Basic Operation

On screen messages

Some messages are displayed on the screen during channel changing or during programs.

NO SIGNAL

When STB cannot receive a channel signal, the whole screen becomes gray, then NO SIGNAL appears in the center.

This may occur when:

•the signal is too weak

•the channel is not broadcasting

•the antenna cable is not connected

When STB is trying to receive a signal, the whole screen becomes gray, then SCANNING appears in the center.

RESTRICTED PROGRAM

When you have set V-CHIP and you receive a program that meets any setting of yours, the whole screen becomes gray, then RESTRICTED PROGRAM appears in the center.

Please refer to “Setting for V-CHIP/CC” on page 69 for further information.
