▼Screening Your Calls
Caller ID allows you to review caller information before you answer your phone. When the phone rings, the display shows the date, time, name, and phone number of the caller. If your Caller ID service is number only, then the name does not appear on the second line.
If a name or number is not available, the display will show a message such as Incomplete Data, Private Number, Private Name, Unknown Number, Unknown Name.
NOTES: •If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (example: before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.
•When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, or via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller’s phone number and name do not appear. (This includes international calls.) •Data errors appear as “ ❙”.
▼Using CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting)
Caller ID and Call Waiting are two separate services. CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting) performs the same as the regular Caller ID on a call waiting number. You must subscribe to the Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW) service from your telephone company before you can use the feature.
1)When a new incoming call arrives during your current telephone call, you will hear the Call Waiting tone, the conversation will be momentarily muted, and the phone number and name of the caller are displayed.
2)Press TALK/FLASH to accept the incoming call. You will be able to talk with the person that has just called. The person with whom you were talking will be put on hold.
3)To return to the first caller, press TALK/FLASH again.
