Operation:

Tocarryoutthe AUTOSTORE functionpresstheremote controlbuttonsinthesequencestatedabove.

presetnumberasthestartingpointusingeitherth

buttonsorthenumericbuttons,i.e.thenumberf

whichthelocatedstationsaretobestored.

 

If you wish the station memory to start from the beginning,selectthenumber01.

Press the button to initiate the AUTOSTORE function; the frequency display starts to increment (run upwards).

Thefunctioncanbeinterruptedatanytimebypres sing one of the tuning buttons ( or ). The machine stopsthe AUTOSTOREfunctionassoonasthefullVHF bandhasbeensearchedtwice,orwhenthehighests pot memory(P60)hasbeenfilled.

Notes:

Since the tuner is unable to determine the quality

at

whichtheindividualstations are received, the mac

hine

providesafacilitytoedittheautomaticallystore

dpresets

manually.

 

 

This also applies to transmitters whose RDS station name was not properly picked up during the AUTOSTOREprocess,orwhichwasnottransmittedby thestationaccordingtotheRDSnorm.

Toeditapreset,callitupandattempt(ifyouwi sh)to optimisethereceptionqualitybychangingtherece ption mode(WIDE/ATTENUATOR/MONO);thepresetcan then be stored again manually (see section 'Manual storing').

Presetscontainingstationsnotworthpickingup,o rthe samestationsondifferentfrequencies,shouldsimp lybe erased(seesection 'Erasing a preset').

PRESET function – erasing a preset

Explanation:

Presetscontainingstationsnotworthpickingup,or the same stations on different frequencies, should be erased.

Operation:

Thefirststepistocallupthepresettobeerase d,either directlyusingthenumericbuttonsorusingthe / buttons. The remote control buttons should then be pressedinthesequencestatedabove.

Thepresetiserasedwhenyoupressthe button.

Notes:

Themachinerespondstoanyattempttoeraseaninv alid preset number (xx) by displaying the message

'Pxx ERROR'.

Under certain circumstances it may be necessary to

eraseallthepresets,e.g.ifyoumovehouse,and allthe receptionfrequenciesandradiostationshavechang ed. There is a procedure for erasing the entire preset memory;pleasereadthesectiononthe PT 820 Mtuner inthe 'Trouble-shooting'section.
