Press the button to initiate the AUTOSTORE function; the frequency display starts to increment (run upwards).

Thefunctioncanbeinterruptedatanytimebypres sing one of the tuning buttons ( or ). The machine stopsthe AUTOSTOREfunctionassoonasthefullVHF bandhasbeensearchedtwice,orwhenthehighests pot memory(P60)hasbeenfilled.

This also applies to transmitters whose RDS station name was not properly picked up during the AUTOSTOREprocess,orwhichwasnottransmittedby thestationaccordingtotheRDSnorm.

Toeditapreset,callitupandattempt(ifyouwi sh)to optimisethereceptionqualitybychangingtherece ption mode(WIDE/ATTENUATOR/MONO);thepresetcan then be stored again manually (see section 'Manual storing').

Explanation:

Presetscontainingstationsnotworthpickingup,or the same stations on different frequencies, should be erased.

Operation:

Thefirststepistocallupthepresettobeerase d,either directlyusingthenumericbuttonsorusingthe / buttons. The remote control buttons should then be pressedinthesequencestatedabove.

Thepresetiserasedwhenyoupressthe button.

Notes:

Themachinerespondstoanyattempttoeraseaninv alid preset number (xx) by displaying the message

'Pxx ERROR'.

Under certain circumstances it may be necessary to

eraseallthepresets,e.g.ifyoumovehouse,and allthe receptionfrequenciesandradiostationshavechang ed. There is a procedure for erasing the entire preset memory;pleasereadthesectiononthe PT 820 Mtuner inthe 'Trouble-shooting'section.
