Special pre-amplifier functions

Preamplifiersettingswhichseldomneedtobechan ged are controlled using a special function menu. The followingspecialfunctionsareavailable:

In surround mode these settings are adjusted on the

DD 820 M.

 

 

Direct stereo mode is indicated on the screen by th

'DIRECT STEREO'symbol.

 

 

Menu control system

Themenuiscontrolledusingthefollowingbuttons onthe remotecontrolhandset:

Opens the preamplifier Special Functions menu.

Selectsthemenupoint.

Changesorselectswithinthemenupoints.

Activatesthefunctionshownonthescreen.

Closesthemenu.

Note:

 

If you are using the

F1 system remote

 

control handset the menu can also be

 

openedbyoperatingthe

rocker.

 

 

 

Balance function

Explanation:

The ‘Balance’functionisusedtoadjustthebalancein level between the left and right channels, e.g. in situations where the speakers are not set up sym metrically.

Operation:

Tochangethebalancesettingpresstheremotecont rol buttons in the sequence stated above. The screen displaysthecurrentbalancesettingofthepreamp lifier, e.g.

'BAL LR 0'=stereocentreneutral

 

The current setting can now be shifted left or righ

discretestepsusingthe

or button.
