Explanation:

The integral screen can display various types of information concerning the current radio programme, suchastheRDSstationname,presetnumber,recept ion frequency, tuning centre indicator, and reception f ield strength. This information is contextsensitive, i. e. it varies according to the current reception mode and operation.

Sincenotallthisinformationisneededatthesam etime, this menu point allows you to select your preferred screen display mode (normal display or field streng th display).

Normal display ('RDS ON')

 

 

This screen mode displays the RDS station name,

 

provided that the station has been

tuned accurately,

and provided that the station concerned is transmit

ting

RDS information,e.g.: 'EINSLIVE'.

 

 

Ifthestationis not transmitting RDS information,the screen displays the tuning centre indicator and the receptionfrequency,e.g. : '---i---104-90'. Ifthecurrent stationis alreadystoredas a preset (see the foll owing

section 'PRESET function'), the screen shows the

 

preset number instead of the centre indicator, e.g

.:

'P12 104-90'.

 

If the station is not accurately tuned, the screen displaystheerroronthecentreindicator,togethe rwith

thereceptionfrequency,e.g.: '----

Field strength display ('RDS OFF ')

To help you assess the reception conditions, and to positionarotaryaerialaccurately,itispossible toswitch

toafieldstrengthdisplay(0…25).Thisisshown onthe screen in front of the reception frequency, e.g.:

'L25 104-90'.

Operation:
