General information:

The F6is aninfraredremotecontrolhandsetwhich is capableof controlling all the components of the M 820 system.

The Msystem’s remote control sensor is positioned

Notes:

The strip of insulation in the battery compartment must be removed before use!

Rechargeablebatteriescanbeusedinsteadofdryc ells.

Changing the batteries:

Toopenthebatterycompartmentcoverundothe latc

bypressingitin,thenliftoffthecover.Placet

hreecells

of the LR 03 (AAA) size in the battery compartment,

following the polarity diagram marked there. All th

ree

cellsshouldalwaysbechangedatthesametime.

 

 

Caution:

If you had previously set the handset to work on

Address2,youwillneedtosetitagainafterfitt ingnew batteries(seenextsection).

Note: disposing of exhausted batteries:

Used batteries must not be thrown away as ordinary domestic waste! They must be handed back to the supplier(shop)ortakentoyourlocaltoxicwaste disposal centre,whichwillrecyclethemordisposeofthem safely. Alllocalauthoritiesareobligedtomakecollectio npoints availableforsuchitems,orprovidecollectionveh iclesfor oldbatteries.

Changing the remote control address

The Msystem is controlled using infrared control

 

signals. Since there is a limited number of codes

 

available,itcanoccasionallyhappenthatthesign

alswill

overlap with those of the remote handset for anothe

r

piece of equipment. For this reason it is possible

 

to

switchtheMsystemandthe

F6handsettoanalternative

 

remotecontroladdress.

 

 

 

Note:

TheMsystemandthe F6remotecontrolhandsetmust alwaysbesettothesameremotecontroladdress!

F6 - Changing the RC address:

To switch the remote control address hold the

button and numeric button pressed in

simul

 

taneously. After about 10seconds the LED will star

t

flashing.

 

 

Pressingnumericbutton willnowsettheremote control handset to the normal RC address, while pressingnumericbutton setsittothealternative level. The LED will go out to confirm that you have completedthechange.

Ifyouremovethebatteries from the

F6remote control

handsetforlongerthan10minutes,orifthecells

areflat,

thenthe F6handsetwillalwaysbesettoRCaddress1 whenyoufitthebatteriesagain.

M-system - switching the RC address:

Whenyouswitchonthesystem,waituntilthe symbol onthescreenstopsflashing.

Nowholdthe buttononthefrontpanelpressed inuntilarunningscriptappearsonthescreen.

Whilethescriptisrunning,pressthe buttonon the front panel. This switches the system to the al ter native remote control address, and displays the new addressonthescreen: 'RC-ADR1'or 'RC-ADR2'.
