• Always use fresh, new oil.
•Do not mix different types of oils.
•Never add water in oil or other fat.
•Do not add herbs or other seasoning, to the oil.
•We recommend using sunflower, groundnut or vegetable oil.
•Do not use oil with added ingredients (e.g. herbs).

Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with the power rating and voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance.
Always plug the appliance into an earthed socket.
If an extension cord is used: it must have an earth connection.
Position the power cord carefully, whether an extension is used or not, so that guests can move freely around the table without tripping over it. 8
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Plug the power cord into the appliance then into the mains socket. Only the appropriate connector must be used. 9
Never leave the appliance plugged in when not in use. Never run the appliance empty.
To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it in a corner or against a wall. Do not use a different plug from the one delivered with the appliance. 10
DBefore first use, wash the fondue dish, pour a little cooking oil onto the inside face and wipe with a soft cloth or paper kitchen towel.
On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke during the first few minutes. If the appliance is used in the centre of the table, keep it out of the reach of children.
