Follow these helpful hints to make probing easier and noise fre e.

Low-inductance Grounding

Placing a ground plane on top of the IC package being probe d can

minimize ground lead length and inductance. See Figure 8.

Figure 8: Low-inductance grounding

Attach a small piece of copper clad wire on top of the IC package

and connect it to the IC package ground connec tion. Use the

low-inductance ground pogo pin or the customizable ground l ead to

keep the ground lead length as short as possible.
