If there is no current, either the humidifier element or control is defective. To determine which it is:
• Turn the humidifier control knob fully ccw.
• Disconnect the voltmeter from
• Change the voltmeter function to 200V AC.
• Place the voltmeter across
• Watching the meter, turn the humidifier control knob cw and watch the voltmeter read
• If not, replace R2 (behind the control knob); see paragraph below.
• If there is voltage, replace
the heater element; see paragraph below.
