6.Next, tension the pivot assembly. With the unit upright, use a screwdriver to stretch the traction spring and hook it into the hole provided (Figure 86).

7.Slip one thrust washer on each end of the axle and insert it into the chassis. Lightly oil the inside of the bearings and slip one on each end, with the hub pointing inward. Secure each bearing with two thread forming screws (Figure 87).

8.Coat the end of the axles with anti-seize or a water repellent grease and install the wheels with the click pins.

9.Lower the machine to the ground, check the linkage adjustments, fill with fuel and oil, and test run.

1.Drain the gasoline and oil.

2.Remove the belt cover. Loosen the belt guide, do not bend. Remove the auger and traction belts (Figure 88).

3.Stand the unit up on its auger and secure to prevent tipping.

4.Remove the bottom cover.

5.Remove the klik pins and slide both wheels off the axle.
