Using Turn Off or Shut down

1Click Start, then click Control Panel.

The Control Panel appears.

2Click the Performance and Maintenance icon.

3Click the Toshiba Power Management icon.

4Select the Advanced tab.

The following screen appears.

5Select Power Off for the options you want.

❖When I press the power button

Set this option to Shutdown to have the computer

shut down when you press the power button.

❖When I close the lid

Set this option to Shutdown to have the computer

shut down when you close the display panel.

6Click OK.
